This ministry has been present in various formats at St. Mary’s for nearly 30 years. St. Mary’s Holy Spirit Prayer Group is a Charismatic Holy Spirit led group. The main focus of this group is to praise and worship God led by the Holy Spirit and to bring the healing power of Christ to others - for the glory of God and the good of all. The Holy Spirit Prayer Group is made up of men and women from diverse backgrounds; meaning all will feel welcomed and loved.
We gather as a core group the first and third Saturdays of the month, year-round, 9:45 - 11:30 am. During these meetings we participate in praise and worship. We share scripture and allow God to reveal His desires in our hearts. Inspired by spiritual music we give praise and glory to God and raise up our community’s and team’s prayer intentions.
The message of The Divine Mercy is that God loves us, all of us. He wants us to recognize that His mercy is greater than our sins, so that we will call upon Him with trust, receive His mercy, and let it flow through us to others. At 3pm every day, the Holy Spirit Prayer group is alerted via text that it is time to pray, The Divine Mercy Chaplet. Those that are available, pray the Chaplet for all the intentions expressed that day.
The Holy Spirit Prayer Group also sponsors a yearly Life in the Spirit Seminar that all are encouraged to join.
If you feel that you need or desire healing in any area of your life, we invite you to join us. These meetings are similar in format to the Saturday meetings, but the focus is on individuals seeking specific personal prayer requests for physical, mental, or spiritual healings. These requests may be for themselves, their family, or even those close to them that need Healing Prayers. Those who join us can request the prayers for individuals that are not present. Through intercessory prayer the team shares the Lord’s supernatural love and seeks the Holy Spirit's healing. These Healing Prayer Services are normally held from 12:30 – 1:30pm on the first Sunday of the month, but always check the parish bulletin or send an email to [healingprayers@stmaryhudson.cc] inquiring about a specific date or time.
