Parking is available in a small 'upper' lot by the main Church entrance. There are limited spaces here and many are marked 'Limited Mobility' for those who need a shorter distance. There is a drop-off circle in front of the Church entrance. The majority of the parking is available in the larger 'lower' lot. Both entrances to the parking areas are off of Prospect Road.
Children's Liturgy of the Word is offered every Sunday (during the school year) at the 9:30am and 11:30am Masses. Children, ages 4-9, are invited to come to the front of the Church after the opening prayer, and they are led by adult volunteers to the Chapel to hear the readings in kid-friendly language, hear a kid-appropriate message about the readings, and engage in some sort of activity. They return to Mass to rejoin their families before the Liturgy of the Eucharist begins.
We welcome children at all of our Masses - the sounds of youth point to the vibrancy of our parish community and give us hope for the future! For this reason, we do not have a cry room.
You can approach both of our priests: Fr. Larry, the Pastor, and Fr. Scott, his associate, before or after any Mass.
You can reach out to our Pastoral Associates Michael Schwark or Lisa Davidson at any time.
You can connect with members of the staff through the Parish Office Monday through Friday (M, W, Th 9:00am-8:00pm; T, F 9:00am-5:00pm)
We are a church community in the Roman Catholic tradition. The teachings of the Catholic Church are firmly rooted in the Bible and explained further in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. We offer age-appropriate faith formtion for people of all ages!
We want you to wear whatever would make you feel comfortable. People dress in everything from casual to dress. Come as you are!
Absolutely! A Catholic worship service, or Mass, follows a structured program or ritual. There are familiar traditional prayers, formal composed prayers led by the priest, responses by the congregation, readings from the Bible, a message from the priest on how to apply the Bible's message to life today, and the celebration of the Eucharist or Holy Communion.
Coming forward to receive Holy Communion is a sign of the visible unity of all who hold the same beliefs, or are 'in communion' with Catholics throughout the world. We ask those who are not yet in communion with all the beliefs of the Catholic Church to respect this sign of unity by not partaking of Holy Communion until you become a fully initiated member of the Church through the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. We would love to meet you if this is your desire!
Show up! We have a wonderful ministry team of volunteers who are at the doors of the Church to greet you for Sunday Mass; they would be happy to answer any questions you have or point you in the right direction.
We also have a ministry of small groups in the parish, which is the best way to make a parish community as big as St. Mary's feel smaller. Groups of 8-10 people meet in homes throughout the city of Hudson to help each other form friendships in faith!
