Bishop Malesic's April 2025 guidelines for Parish Pastoral Councils in the Diocese of Cleveland stipulate that membership on the council is at the sole discretion and discernment of the pastor - there are to be no elections to serve on the PPC. There will be a small team of people who will meet with ('interview') each candidate nominated, and then make recommendations to Fr. Larry, who will have the final choice of who will serve on the initial PPC beginning in 2025. Term limits of one-two-three years will be assigned so that there can be continuous turnover of membership each year. The new PPC at St. Mary Parish will meet once per month on the Second Tuesday, 7:30-9:00pm from August through May each year.
