Kathy joined St Mary's Preschool in 2020 as a Lunch Time Learning assistant, but has been a Preschool Teacher Assistant in the Hudson community since 2011.  She has a B.S. in Speech-Language Pathology and an M.S. in Communication Disorders, including coursework in Early Childhood Education.  
She lives in Hudson with her husband and 2 children and enjoys reading, hiking, yoga, watching baseball, and trips to Disney World.

Why do you enjoy working with young children?
I enjoy being witness to their ever-evolving independence, innate curiosity, wild creativity, and fearlessness.  Preschool is a safe place where they can learn to take control of their own world and also learn how to exist in the world at large.  It's awesome to watch them grow and a privilege to be part of the process.

What have young children taught you?
Stay curious!  You can never ask too many questions....they lead to more learning.
