Linda is the founding Director of St. Mary Preschool. She has a B.A. in Education and did post-graduate studies in Early Childhood education at Kent State University. After teaching at a local Preschool for several years, the opportunity arose to establish a Preschool at St. Mary Church. With the support of many families in the parish the preschool welcomed its first students in 1988. Linda taught the Four Year Old classes for many years until the growth of the program necessitated the need for a full time director.
Linda and her husband Bob have three married daughters and are the proud grandparents of seven. All of the grandchildren have been students at St. Mary Preschool. In her free time Linda enjoys reading, cooking and traveling. Spending time with her grandchildren is her most favorite pastime.
Why do you enjoy working with young children?
Each child is unique and has something to teach me. I love to see the potential in each child and help to nurture his/her talents. Their joy is contagious and every day they give me hope for our future.
What have young children taught you?
Take more time to play, laugh more often, sing and dance with abandon, don’t worry about what comes next – just enjoy the moment.
