Marge is the Teacher for the 4 and 5 year old Lunch Time Learning and Enrichment. She previously was the lead teacher of our Three Year Old Class. Marge holds an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education as well as a B.A. in Business Administration. Prior to joining the Preschool Staff in 2002, she taught in Hinsdale Illinois. She was a substitute teacher in the Hudson Schools and has been active in St. Mary Parish ministries teaching PSR and a volunteer for the Parish Welcoming Committee, Giving Tree Preparation, and Women’s Guild events. Always an innovator, she proposed the program concepts for our Lunch Time Learning Program, our WOW Summer Camp and our 4&5 Year Old Enrichment classes.
 
She and her husband Bill are the proud parents of Kaitlin and Mike who are both living and working in the Kenny family’s home town of Chicago. Marge enjoys gardening, golf, water exercise and reading in her free time. 

Why do you enjoy working with young children?  
Children love to do and learn new things and I love to show them how in fun and sharing ways. I enjoy introducing them to God through art projects and songs. It is so rewarding to see three year olds develop confidence in their first year at school and start friendships. I love their hugs, laughter and hearing their questions and answers!

What have young children taught you?    
Slow down and explore it all, even if it’s a bug on the wall. Be flexible, change plans for those sudden teachable moments. Don’t believe them when they say they don’t have to go potty!
